Purposed To Share Your Faith

What does it look like to stay laser-focused on sharing the gospel when everything around you is falling apart? Acts 16 gives us one of the most vivid answers in all of Scripture. We follow Paul, Silas, Timothy, and Luke through a gauntlet of demonic opposition, public humiliation, brutal beatings, and imprisonment -- and yet not once do they lose sight of the people around them who need Jesus. The central lesson here is both challenging and freeing: evangelism is not about having the perfect words, the right theological credentials, or a comfortable set of circumstances. It is about seeing every person as an image bearer of God, recognizing that the enemy is actively working to blind and harden hearts, and trusting that the Spirit of God goes with us every time we open our mouths to share the truth. The story of the demon-possessed young woman, her exploitative masters, and ultimately the Philippian jailer reminds us that the gospel reaches further than we ever expect -- often into places and people we never anticipated. If we are willing to stay faithful in the dark, God has a way of shaking open doors we never could have opened ourselves.
