What If Today Was Your Last Chance

What would we do if we knew today was our last opportunity to share the truth with someone we love? That question sits at the heart of this powerful exploration of Acts chapter 7, where we witness Stephen delivering his final sermon before a hostile crowd. Stephen does not shrink back. Instead, he walks his listeners through the entire history of Israel, showing them how God had been pointing His people toward Jesus through every patriarch, every prophet, and every moment of divine intervention. The central spiritual lesson here is both urgent and deeply personal: we cannot assume that the people around us already understand the gospel. Just as the religious crowd in Stephen's day knew the history but missed the meaning, many people today are surrounded by churches and Christian culture yet have never truly grasped what it means to repent and place trusting faith in Christ alone. Stephen's courage reminds us that the gospel is not a message to be held in reserve for the perfect moment. It is a message for right now, because we may not be given another chance.
